“ We ordered the stuffed shrimp, the Wednesday pasta special, and the catfish basket. The stuffed shrimp were delicious- a generous amount of shrimp throughout. The catfish and fries were wonderfully seasoned and the portion was big enough to take some home. The pasta was wonderful! The owner came out and visited with us. Very friendly and nice atmosphere. The food was so good we ordered the shrimp etoufee to go! We will be back! ”

“ The nachos were fine. They forgot the shrimp. I brought it to the server's attention, and he initially said it was right, and when I showed him the menu and that I didn't have any shrimp, he corrected it. I received four shrimp on top. The restaurant is very nice and the male owner was very attentive. I hope they have many years of success. ”

“ First time staying downtown and decided to come here because of the great reviews. The food did not disappoint! I had the lunch special of fried chicken, red beans and rice. The chicken was flavorful, crispy and delicious. Red beans and rice had a nice spice without being too spicy. I also ordered a side of jambalaya and beignets. Both were amazing and I would totally come back for more. The beignets were a must have! ”

The restaurant itself may be small, but it makes up for it with a very clean environment and a simple, modern atmosphere that feels classy, but not overbearing. The food was definitely the highlight. The boudin balls were excellent. Crispy, flavorful, and even better when paired with the accompanying sauce. The stuffed shrimp was another standout, perfectly seasoned and cooked just right. I also tried Pap’s Loaded Potato, which was absolutely huge and packed with flavor. It really hit the spot and easily stands out on its own. The service was great and the owner was very very sweet. Overall, this bistreaux delivers on both taste and comfort. If you’re looking for authentic Creole flavors in a welcoming setting, this is a spot worth visiting! ”

“ Had the Pork Chop Sandwich with fries and had a side order of Red Beans and Rice. Both were absolutely amazing especially the Red Beans. Only thing with Red Beans is could've used a little bit of the juice to help bind it all together. Another thing was tea had an odd flavor to mee, but could've been the brand or a New Orleans style tea I've never had. But I will be going back as there other things on the menu I want to try. ”
